BOAT & FUN BERLIN 2017: More boats, more fun, more visitors

Berlin, 27 November 2017 – From 23 to 26 November the eyes of the water sports industry were on BOAT & FUN BERLIN. Over a period of five days one of Germany’s leading boating exhibitions for inshore and coastal waters provided a comprehensive display of products, including more than 600 sailing boats, motorboats and around 500 manually powered boats and boards. More than 700 exhibitors took part who reported very positive reactions throughout, as well as excellent sales.

Daniel Barkowski, the project manager of BOAT & FUN BERLIN: ”Besides spectacular sailing boats and modern motor yachts BOAT & FUN BERLIN also featured new interactive events. A visit to a trade fair is something that should fascinate people and be an unforgettable experience. I think we achieved that.”

A total of more than 43,000 visitors came to the BOAT GALA, the successful opening event on the eve of the fair, as well as to the Berlin boating exhibition over the following four days. Attendance rose slightly at BOAT & FUN BERLIN compared to last year.

Next year BOAT & FUN BERLIN will host its own In Water Boat Show. Werder Maritim will take place for the first time from 7 to 9 September 2018 in Werder (Havel).

BOAT & FUN BERLIN 2018 will take place from 22 to 25 November 2018. The BOAT GALA will be held on 21 November 2018.

Franz Haar, Allroundmarin Alltechnik GmbH:
“In terms of business we greatly benefited from not being in the Angling Hall this year. We sell sailing yachts as well as motor yachts. Our customers are both normal boat owners and fishing enthusiasts, and this year they even spent a bit more than usual.“

“Our product made a big impression and we experienced one of the best fairs ever. Customers really do come here to find out more, not just for window shopping, which is fine. With the atmosphere it radiates BOAT & FUN is the perfect platform.“
