Microsoft Word – Press Release – Definitiva acord monaco
During the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic and Cluster Yachting Monaco agreed to collaborate more closely in order to strengthen ties between two of Europe’s most dynamic nautical ecosystems.
The collaboration aims to facilitate joint initiatives that enhance the sector’s competitiveness, foster mutual participation in major international events, drive sustainability, digital transition and technological innovation, and promote cooperation among companies, institutions, and specialized training centers.
Clàudia Parera, General Manager of the Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, highlighted that reinforcing this collaboration means bringing together two nautical powerhouses with a common purpose: to jointly address the sector’s global challenges and open new avenues for business and cooperation throughout the Mediterranean. The connection between Barcelona and Monaco is particularly significant and strategically key to the sector’s growth, exponentially advancing the goals of both organizations.
Carmel Van Der Weide, General Manager of the Cluster Yachting Monaco, highlighted that they are confident that this collaboration will strengthen the regional nautical ecosystem and facilitate meaningful connections across our members and the yachting sector.
Through this collaboration, Barcelona and Monaco rea irm their roles as leading hubs in the blue economy, extending their influence beyond the Mediterranean and paving the way for joint actions in areas such as specialized training, international promotion of the nautical sector, and the development of sustainable projects with global impact. Both entities thus strengthen their leadership in the international nautical industry, joining forces to build a more innovative, competitive, and sustainable future.
